Hire Terms & Conditions

Hire Period

The hire period will be the day before the event, day of event and the day after.   Any extra time will need to be agreed at time of ordering and an extra charge will be made.


We will deliver/collect to the venue of your choice.  Delivery and collection is free within 10 miles of Bourne, Lincolnshire PE10, after that we do make a charge of  50p per mile for all mileage.  If you prefer to collect and return the items then that is fine.  No minimum charge is applied if collection and return of items.


A non refundable deposit of 50% of the hire charge is payable at the time of ordering and the balance is payable 14 days before the event date.  Payment can be made by cash or bank transfer.  Proof of identification is required by way of a current driving Licence/Passport and utility bill dated within the last month.  Cancellation (which must be confirmed in writing) will be charged at 100% of the hire cost if within 14 days of the event date and 50% of the hire cost at any other time.  A breakages deposit (depending on size of order) is required at the time of order and would be returned in full if order is cancelled or no damage is caused.  Cheques are made payable to Mrs A Seager

Breakages/Loss or Damage

Unfortunately we do have to charge for breakages, as these items are hard to come by.  If breakages occur we ask that you do give us the broken item back.  Chips or cracks will be treated as breakages as they will be unusable.  Should the replacement value of any such loss or damage exceed the value of the damage deposit the hirer agrees to pay the balance. Charges are:

Cup/saucer/tea/dinner plate etc – £10.00

Tea/coffee Pot – £25.00

Cake Stand – £25.00

Cutlery per item – £1.50

Table Linen – £25.00

Responsibility of the Hirer

The hirer is solely responsible for the safe keeping and protection of all goods and packaging on hire from the date of delivery/collection until goods are returned at the end of the hire period.  All goods are to checked and inspected and signed for on receipt by the hirer.  No discrepancies or faults will be accepted unless we are notified within 12 hours of the beginning of the hire period.
